In 1953, Gerell Mfg. moved again, to Sweeney Avenue, where the operation
was expanded. In 1955 the company was incorporated as the Stanley Supply
Co. and vibratory finishing equipment was added to the shop. In 1961 the
Stanley Supply Co. was introduced to the "Sweco" Round Bowl Finishing
Machine which it began to use, and to sell, and the company began to grow
very rapidly. In 1964 the Cranwood Parkway building was completed and
the company name was changed to Stanley Industries, Inc.. Mr. Larry Siko became Plant Manager in 1967. Around that time, the company became both a service company and a sales and distribution company, for deburring machinery, media and compounds. Larry eventually became President in 1989. He retired in 2003. Jay Cusick, our current President, joined the company in 1974, at which time, it was decided that Stanley Industries would seek out new and more highly technical markets related to our core industry of mass finishing. |
